Event description

Description

The key aim for the Digital First Taster Days is to give an insight into how Halton Housing has developed its digital services, adapted internal structures and made a cultural shift in order to achieve getting 90% of its customers accessing online services by 2018.

Topics Covered:
  • Outline of our journey so far
  • How we have developed and are delivering online services
  • Demonstration of our App
  • Cultural and internal changes
  • Benefits of our Digital First strategy
  • Q&A

These taster days have been developed due to an inundated demand for reference visits and consultation, off the back of our very successful Digital First Events in 2014 and with the Connected Home Consortium in 2015.

Takeaways:
  • Understand how and why we deliver online services
  • Team planning, structures and roles
  • Outcomes and savings achieved at the Trust
  • Internal and cultural changes needed
  • Infrastructure changes required

NEW: From October 2017, the Taster Session will also include a tour round our new home at Waterfront Point. A unique, collaborative and flexible space (with no standard desks in sight!), the office showcases our culture, commitment to innovation and all things digital.

The session is presented by Carole Galsworthy, Director of Transformation at Halton Housing.

Carole has worked in housing for 8 years in a number of senior roles.

In her current role as Director of ICT and Business Improvement at Halton Housing, Carole is heading up a groundbreaking Digital First programme which is radically changing the way customers access the Trust services and how these services are delivered.

Carole has successfully delivered a programme of work that saw fully flexible/remote working introduced alongside a revitalised office environment that completely changed how and where colleagues work. She developed and implemented a Customer Services Team as well as a new ICT system to support this.

Carole is a keen advocate of utilising fully integrated systems and technology to deliver wholesale change to ensure the Trust’s services are delivered in the most effective and efficient way in the future, ensuring that everyone has access to the right information at the right time in the right place via the right medium.

Halton Housing is an early adopter of new technology and passionate about developing effective digital solutions to drive efficiencies within the sector.

Please note: we will use your email address to confirm details of the event, including directions and parking. We will also share with you the presentation from the Taster Session and seek your feedback following the event.
