About this Event

A Digital Boardroom: Improving Business Performance by adopting digital solutions.

This is part of the programme Developing Digital Leadership Skills in Construction SMEs, which is a free programme funded by the CITB for construction companies across the UK.

Managing health & safety in construction SMEs

This digital focus group explores the benefits of using a digital solution to manage Health & Safety in a construction company.

Participants will be asked to::

  • Discuss the Health and Safety processes and tasks that they would like to improve.
  • Identify the activities that can be streamlined or removed such as time-consuming, error-prone and repetitive tasks
  • Share information about the system they use or are aware of
  • Debate the must-have and desirable features of a digital solution
  • Consider the barriers to introducing a digital solution and share ideas about how these can be overcome
  • Agree on the next steps such as arranging trials or demonstrations

As the sessions rely on the interaction between delegates, all participants need to use a webcam and microphone.

Who is this Digital Focus Group for?

This focus group has been designed for:

  • Health and Safety managers in UK construction companies
  • Managers with responsibility for health & safety in UK construction companies
  • Contract managers
  • Owners and managers of UK construction companies

This event is free for attendees from UK construction companies. For a fee, a limited number of tickets will be available to Heath and Safety managers from other industries, H&S consultants and suppliers of H&S solutions.

Digital Focus Groups

Digital Focus Groups explore a single business activity or function in-depth and discuss how digital technology could be used to make it more efficient. They provide an opportunity for industry leaders and others within their organisation to come together for an in-depth exploration of how digital tools could be used to increase the efficiency of a specific business function or process.

These are not product demonstrations but peer discussions about the opportunity to improve a business process, the solutions used, the features required and barriers to adoption.

Events may be sponsored by a supplier to meet the matched funding required by the CITB, but this is not a recommendation of specific products.
