This digital Focus Group explores the benefits of using a digital solution to manage time and attendance in construction SMEs.

About this Event

A Focus Group: Improving Business Performance by adopting digital solutions.This is part of the programme Developing Digital Leadership Skills in Construction SMEs, which is a free programme funded by the CITB for construction companies across the UK.

Managing time and attendance in a construction SME

This session explores the benefits of using a digital solution to manage time and attendance in construction, including options for electronic timesheets and more advanced biometric solutions.

Participants will be asked to::

  • identify activities to streamline or remove such as time-consuming, error-prone or repetitive tasks
  • share information about solutions being used or trialled
  • explore the must-haves of a digital solution
  • consider the barriers to introducing a digital solution and how to overcome them
  • next steps: share research on the benefits of implementing digital solutions to streamline the process or function.

As the sessions rely on the interaction between delegates, all participants need to use a webcam and microphone.

Who is this Digital Boardroom for?

This focus group has been designed for:

  • Contracts managers
  • Payroll managers
  • Quantity surveys who process data from timesheets
  • Owners and managers of UK construction companies

This event is free for attendees from UK construction companies. For a fee, a limited number of tickets will be available to managers from other industries, consultants and suppliers of H&S solutions.

Digital Focus Groups

Digital Focus Groups explore a single business activity or function and discuss how digital technology could be used to make it more efficient. They provide an opportunity for industry leaders and others within their organisation to come together for an in-depth exploration of how digital tools could be used to increase the efficiency of a specific business function or process.

These are not product demonstrations but peer discussions about the opportunity to improve a business process, the solutions used, the features required and barriers to adoption.
