About this event

Welcome to the ISC2 East of England Chapter October Event. This event will focus on two timely topics: the strategic management of digital information for national infrastructure, and the urgent need to protect vulnerable individuals from online harm.

We would like to thank Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge for their support in hosting this event and providing a space for meaningful discussion on digital safety and resilience.

Session 1: Managing Information as an Asset for Critical Infrastructure

Speaker: Steven Eglinton BSc (Hons), FRGS, FBCS, FBCart.S, MIoD, MPWIICE Certificate for BIM – GEOEnable.com

Steven Eglinton is an authority in digital transformation, geospatial strategy, and information management. With over 20 years of experience advising government bodies and private sector organizations, he specializes in the use of digital twins, BIM, and structured data to enhance infrastructure performance and resilience. Steven is the founder of GEOEnable and holds fellowships with several professional institutions, including the British Computer Society and the Royal Geographical Society.

Session 2: Digital Risk & Harm Prevention – Safeguarding Vulnerable Users

Speakers: Mia-Helena Knight Nikolin Caisley & Snezana CaisleyOrganization: V.L.A.D. Outreach CIC

Snezana and Mia are the mother and sister of Vladimir Nikolin Caisley, a vulnerable 17-year-old who tragically died in May 2024 after being groomed online. Their advocacy through V.L.A.D. Outreach CIC focuses on raising awareness of digital harms and promoting stronger safeguards for vulnerable users.

Their work has been featured in national media, including the BBC documentary Killed by the Internet. Through personal testimony and public reflection, they aim to drive change in how digital platforms and systems protect users from serious harm.
