Handling NHS patient data?
Developing healthcare apps and digital health technologies?
This event is for you!
Inviting all small and medium-sized businesses, corporates, start-ups, digital agencies, researchers and tech entrepreneurs dealing with NHS patient data and developing healthcare apps and other digital health technologies.
This event will explore what to do if you are handling NHS patient data and/or developing health apps and digital health technologies and the related data security, compliance, approvals, integration and interoperability considerations. We are delighted to be joined by Lucie Burgess from the Personal Data & Trust Network and Digital Catapult Centre London, who will chair the meeting.
If your organisation handles NHS patient data, you may need to complete NHS Digital’s Information Governance Toolkit - Information Governance level 2 is needed as part of NHS standard contracts, for tendering and to integrate with Spine, the ‘electronic backbone of the NHS’. Hear from Byron George at the University of York who has taken their Patient Case Management Information System through this process.
The number of health apps on the app stores is growing substantially, over 165,000 at a recent count. How are these apps being regulated and what implications are there for use of people’s personal health data - and what do you need to do as a business? How can standards support innovators in developing novel solutions, whilst also holding them to account for meeting regulations and other professional requirements? Find out more from Rob Turpin from BSI and Julie Bretland of Our Mobile Health.
Participants who would like to share their experience of the Information Governance Toolkit, data security or the development of healthcare apps and other digital health technologies will also be invited to present and get feedback from other attendees.
This event will take place at the Digital Exchange which is home to the Digital Health Enterprise Zone who we work closely with. Click here to find out more about DHEZ and subscribe to their newsletter.
