Digital Health Innovation Conference
Wed 5 July 2017, 09:00 – 17:00 BST
“It’s essential that information technology across the NHS works well and can perform the tasks needed to deliver high quality, safe and efficient care.” - Professor Bob Wachter
The Digital Health Summit will explore the latest innovations being adopted across the country, share best practice and give all delegates the tools they need to transform their organisations by harnessing the tech revolution.
Digital health is not just about exploiting new technologies like video screens, it can also mean the shrewd application of data to make the most of existing resources. By identifying the 4% of patients who between them consumed 50% of the care budget, Yeovil District Hospital was able to provide targeted pre-emptive care in order to make major savings.
While 70% of flights are booked online and banking customers access smartphone apps 7,600 times a minute, only 2% of patients have had any digital interaction with NHS services. The NHS has fallen behind when it comes to exploiting the latest digital technologies and opportunities are being missed to connect with the 71% of UK adults who have a smartphone and the 84% who use the internet regularly. Smarter technology can improve health outcomes, boost efficiency and give patients more of a say in how and when they are treated.
Our event will bring together leading minds to discuss the developments and challenges our healthcare system faces as we move forward. In a post Brexit UK, and with the constant concerns regarding the NHS budget, our specialist speakers will share their views on the future of healthcare innovation.
