Part 1 ( 10.00-10.30 CET) Keynote
It will present the Knowledge Community and Medici Catalogue & Maps as a ‘knowledge ecosystem’ that builds an evolving evidence base on digital inclusion practices and interventions addressed to socially vulnerable groups. The KC is presented as the foundation for exchange of good practices and mapping the digital inclusion landscape in Europe and the UK.
Further, it will present the key findings and lessons learned while building MEDICI Knowledge Community aiming to address good practices for the digital inclusion of socially vulnerable groups. We will further present the tools for running Knowledge Community. We will look at the important questions and answers related to Knowledge Community context and the mapping of good practices for socially vulnerable groups:
- Understand the context of Digital Inclusion of socially vulnerable groups
- Identify barriers, existing gaps and opportunities
- Lessons learnt in engaging the community members: is it possible to create an online ‘holding environment’ , that can nurture and encouraged new ideas?
- Is it possible to use MEDICI KC as a ‘Learning Organisation’, enabling collaborative learning and co-production of new thinking?

What really matters? Practitioners' perspective.
Session 1 ( Breakout 1)
This session will focus on challenges and why the engagement of the digital community is crucial. Through presenting 3 cases focused on migrants , marginalised young people, unemployed and minorities groups, we will look at the common challenges and barriers to digital inclusion for those particular groups.
