Digital Inclusion: Why it matters now more than ever

Join Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria for the next Digital Inclusion Forum, featuring special guest speaker Baroness Hilary Armstrong.

Baroness Armstrong, Baroness Armstrong, who chairs the Government’s Digital Inclusion Action Committee, will be joined by Professor Dean Fathers, Chair of Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria, for a 90-minute discussion.

The session will explore how the Government’s Digital Inclusion Action Plan is being rolled out and why it is more important than ever to ensure no one is left behind. The speakers will reflect on why digital inclusion matters now, how it links to wider government policy, and the role that health organisations, local government, the voluntary and community sector, and industry can play in improving access to digital skills and technology.

As with previous forums, there will be dedicated time for discussion, giving participants the opportunity to reflect on the conversation and consider how we take this work forward together.

If you are looking for inspiration, insight and a deeper understanding of why digital inclusion must sit at the heart of the future of health and care, this session is not to be missed.

Who should attend?

Anyone working in:

  • Health and care
  • Local government
  • The voluntary and community sector
  • Industry

…with an interest in digital inclusion.

During the session

We will keep participants muted whilst we are presenting. This avoids distracting our speakers and reduces sensory stimulation which is important for some people. However, if you wish to ask a question you can do this by adding it to the chatbox.

Please feel free to turn your camera on and off as you need to. If you need it off the whole time, that is totally fine.

If you need a break at any time during the session, then please leave the meeting and re-join again when you feel ready.
