Event description
A brand new course for those with a professional interest in or responsibility for digital influence.

About this event

This course is hosted by the Digital Influence and Intelligence Lab, DIIL. Housed at the Edinburgh Futures Institute (EFI), DIIL is a unique consortium of leading academic and private sector partners.

Participants will learn how to develop better influencing strategies, understand and use new analytical methods and tools, have better insight into how digital influence works, and how to assess its value to them and their organisations.

Over 2 days, participants will learn from and share their reflections with leading experts in digital influence from Government, universities and the private sector. This offers a uniquely varied and tailored learning experience with opportunities for engagement with other learners, networking and working to co-create solutions that can be taken back to the workplace.

COURSE DATES & TIMES: 17th & 24th June 2021, 09.00-17.00

DELIVERY MODE: The course will be delivered online via Zoom.

FUNDING: A limited number of fully funded places are available through the Scottish Funding Council (SFC) Upskilling Fund. Please note that even if you have been approved for funding, in order to secure a place on the programme you will need to complete the booking process through Eventbrite.

To qualify, you must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Live in Scotland or the rest of the EU (excluding England, Wales and Northern Ireland) for the last three years for reasons other than education
  • Live in the rest of the UK and work for a Scottish employer (an employer which is based in or has a significant presence in Scotland)

and at least one of the following conditions:

  • Be unemployed (living in Scotland or EU-domiciled)
  • Work in the public sector
  • Work in a micro or small sized SME (fewer than 50 employees)

The course is open to all Scottish-domiciled/EU students, which is consistent with SFC’s policy for core funded student places. Students from the rest of the UK (rUK) are not normally considered eligible for SFC funding. If however a university is working with a Scottish employer which has a physical presence in the UK, rUK employees of that employer would be eligible.

In order for us to assess your eligibility, please complete the form : Eligibility for funding

Once your eligibility has been confirmed, please forward the email to executive@business-school.ed.ac.uk and you will receive a code to claim your funding at checkout.
