"After 2 sessions on the Digital Leadership course, I've finally found my groove with digital!" Amy Jones, CEO, CAB Sedgemoor, May 2019.

Digital Leadership Programme for Social Enterprises – Invitation to join!

Cosmic, in partnership with SPARK Somerset, are delighted to be running the first Digital Leadership Programme for Social Enterprises in South Somerset and invite people in leadership/management roles in established social enterprises/charities in Somerset and Devon to join up.

Why Digital Leadership?

The Social Enterprise UK 2017 “State of the Sector” survey revealed that “A large proportion (of social enterprises) are still not confident in making effective use of available technology, and that 43% consider their own digital skills average or below – a rise since 2015”. Looking more widely, Cisco (multinational tech leader) predicts that “More than one-third of businesses today will not survive the next 10 years. The only ones that will survive will turn their companies into digital versions of themselves.” Sounds daunting but new technologies can also present great opportunities, in terms of how we plan and deliver services, communicate with customers and stakeholders, manage our business and, ultimately, deliver social impact.

Digital innovations and their impact on businesses are around us every day. We recognise how swiftly the advent of big data and analytics, cloud computing, social media, the Internet of Things and mobile can overturn conventional ways of doing business.

But where to start? On Cosmic’s tried and tested programme, you will learn to:

  • Anticipate digital disruption and learn to compete with digital disruption
  • Master your digital vision and drive your organisation
  • Change mind-sets, question your organisation’s culture and develop digital attitudes and capabilities
  • Manage digital innovation from a strategic perspective.

You will also benefit from:

  • Networking opportunities with fellow attendees
  • Learn from other great social enterprises
  • Gain a wider understanding of digital leadership and reflect on your own practise.

Investing in digital skills is a must for every business at this time, but many businesses are yet to address this issue at senior management and Board levels. Learning how to utilise digital in your business has the potential to raise your competitive edge, increase staff satisfaction, raise productivity levels and ultimately increase your social impact. This learning approach, we believe, is the single most efficient way to become a digital leader and to fast track your knowledge.
