This introductory course covers essential data protection, enabling participants to handle personal information ethically and legally. It clarifies the differences between personal and sensitive data, explores relevant laws and principles, and outlines individual data rights and organisational responsibilities. Topics include data sharing, controllers, and security.

These workshops are for Lewisham community groups and businesses who need to know about data protection. (Also see our Learning Evening which will cover some similar ground).

The Venue
The sessions will be held face to face at Orchard Community Gardens, this is NOT the community centre on the main road which has a similar name, so please allow enough time to find the venue if you have not been there before. The room is on the ground floor with step free access. There is a disabled toilet.
We cannot guarantee parking nearby and encourage you to use public transport.
