Description

This course will allow teachers and school leaders to understand the core concepts, theories and issues relating to digital literacy and reflect on how digital literacy is being implemented in their schools. Participants will also gain experience of using a variety of iPad apps to support their learning. Through a collaborative approach and enquiry based model, participants will be encouraged and supported to bring their learning to the classroom. A second twilight session (date TBC after Session 1) will allow participants to evaluate, share good practice and plan for future progression.

The Nerve Centre is the Northern Ireland delivery partner for the project and will be delivering four modules of CPD over the next three years which seek to improve teaching practice in key areas of the NI Curriculum.

Schools that participate in the Core Skills CPD programme are then eligible to apply to the British Council for support for a partnership with a school in another part of the world. For information and application details visit:
