Event description

Description

The second Digital Plymouth conference on the 7th September will challenge you to think more broadly about your business: breaking your current boundaries in context of the bigger digital world. You will hear from strategic thinkers, industry leaders, and some of our hidden gems, while also learning creative ways to overcome some of the challenges in the digital industry.

We encourage decision-makers (including sole-traders and freelancers), department heads, and digital agencies, educators in the digital realm, and anyone wanting to learn about creative digital projects to take a day out from your work to be motivated and inspired, to learn and develop new ways to resolve the problems you face. There will be plenty of time to meet and socialise with like minded digital people who are all pushing boundaries in their creative projects too.

Check out our amazing line up of speakers:

Anne McCrossan (Founding Partner of Visceral Business, Leader of Open Data Institute): Digital civilisation and an artisan perspective.

Francesco D'Alessio (Marketing at Newton Mail and Flashsticks): Best Practices to Starting Your Own YouTube Channel: Mistakes and Learnings.

Gareth Allen (Managing Director of Sound View Media): The Next Best Thing - Staying Ahead in VR and immersive video.

Julian Summerhayes (Integrative lawyer, coach and speaker): The importance of deep work in a digital world.

Merika Kindlon (Commerical Executive of Plymouth Science Park): "What is stopping you" explaining how when she learnt what was stopping her she was incredibly shocked... it wasn't what she expected!

Paul Wright (CEO of iotec): How you can make your mark on an already saturated digital marketplace?

Rob Wick (Owner of Technovore and Thinqtanq): The highs and lows of building a centre of awesomeness in Plymouth : 10 lessons, 2 surprises and an inspirational quote.

Shaun Rudden (Recruitment Consultant): Aptus Guide Findings: Debunking Myths about the Digital Sector in the South West
