Join us to learn how to guide young people to safely explore the online world and develop a literate use of digital tools.
This event is aimed at Secondary School staff - particularly those working in a pastoral, leadership or PSHE capacity.
Becky Dawson (National Wellbeing Lead at Twinkl) will explore the challenges of the digital world and the potential impact of young people’s wellbeing.
Staff will leave the session able to:
- Understand Complex Risks: Recognise and address the sophisticated social, mental health and safety challenges faced by teenagers online.
- Promote Wellbeing & Identity: Guide teens in using technology to support wellbeing, critical thinking and a positive digital identity/footprint.
- Master Communication: Employ effective, non-judgmental communication strategies to discuss sensitive online topics and negotiate appropriate boundaries.
- Build Digital Resilience: Equip teens with the skills and resources needed to manage, report and recover from negative online experiences.
