Event description

Description

*for University of Huddersfield staff only*

The academic landscape is changing; what does it mean that to live and work in the 21st century networked society? Many academics are adapting to these changes by maximising and leveraging multiple digital tools to communicate, collaborate and connect.

This session focuses on how academics are using digital tools to build their profile, identity, scholarship and impact within and beyond their institutions. Tools like Google Scholar, Twitter, about me , ORCID (http://orcid.org/), KUDOS (https://www.growkudos.com/go/hud) and others.

The session’s facilitators will highlight several case studies drawn from the University of Huddersfield and other HEIs. The audience will also be encouraged to share their experiences of using digital tools to develop their academic profile.

The aim of this session is to get you thinking about your digital presence, what tools you might want to try out to build an online scholarly presence, build networks and disseminate your research.
