10:00 - Introduction to Symplectic Elements, Jonathan Breeze, CEO
Symplectic Elements is a research information management system used by over 100 major research institutions across the world (including University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, National University of Singapore and University of Melbourne). Symplectic have been supporting government assessment exercises since the UK’s RAE 2008 and the system is currently being used by over 25 UK institutions to conduct and submit assessments as part of the UK’s REF 2021 assessment. During this talk, Jonathan Breeze, CEO Symplectic will provide an overview of the key features of the system - including the Elements Assessment module - and explain how the system can be quickly deployed to help UGC-funded universities support RAE 2020 data capture as well as other types of one-off data collections.

Altmetric Explorer for Institutions allows organizations worldwide to monitor the many impacts of their published research. Explorer for Institutions tracks online attention to over 9 million articles, books, clinical trials, and other research outputs, from the world's most popular and influential newspapers, policymakers, patent offices, social media networks, and other platforms. Altmetric CEO Kathy Christian will share how Explorer for Institutions can make it easy to find evidence of impact to develop compelling case studies for RAE 2020. In particular, she will highlight a case study from the UK National Physical Laboratory, which found the Altmetric Attention Score indicator to be positively linked to 3- and 4-star scored UK REF impact case studies.

For unsubscribed content, Anywhere Access partners with publishers to provide academic, government and corporate libraries an option to add unmediated and integrated document delivery service as an additional access channel for their patrons.
