About this training workshop

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in an increased use of online and digital spaces and therefore increased the risk of online abuse, with almost half women surveyed experiencing online abuse. Now, more than ever, the most vulnerable members of our communities are in need of training and support surrounding their online presence. Alongside campaigning for both government and tech to implement systematic change we at Glitch are passionate about equipping people and communities, as digital citizens, to flourish online safely. . In the meantime, our workshops will equip participants to navigate the online landscape with confidence and knowledge. We want to support you in your support of others, to enable more people to have a happier, healthier relationship with the digital space.

In this one hour interactive session you will learn:

  • Types of online abuse and tactics to watch out for
  • Key online safety techniques and strategies, including how to effectively document abuse
  • How you can support your community with their online presence
