About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

What is it?

Digital Skills 4 Girls is a monthly workshop for girls and non-binary young people aged 10 - 17 who want to learn new digital skills or develop existing skills. From coding and gaming to digital design and video, DS4G is a friendly and supportive environment to learn new skills and meet new friends.

What will I learn?

This month we'll be learning about robotics by coding Marty the Robot v1s using Scratch and Python!

Get hands-on with robotics as we bring Marty the Robot to life! In this workshop, we’ll program Marty V1 robots to walk, dance, and respond to our commands, all while building core digital skills in coding and problem-solving. Through fun, interactive challenges, we’ll explore how robots move, sense the world around them, and how we can use technology to tackle real-world problems. No coding experience needed, as we’ll use both Scratch and Python, making it accessible for beginners and exciting for those ready to explore more. Just bring your curiosity and get ready to dive into the world of robotics!
