Event description

Description

These sessions will be delivered by Dr Deborah McNeill of the Glasgow Science Festival

During this course, you will work with the Glasgow Science Festival team to learn the basics for creating your own digital content – exploring images, podcasts and videos - and how to expand your reach to a wide audience. Learn why video content represents over 70% of internet traffic, and have a go at creating your own short, engaging, shareable piece of film.

The Glasgow Science Festival team will guide you through the process of storyboarding, filming and editing a short video. Giving you the skills and knowledge to later replicate this using basic tools such as a smart phone and free editing software.

Registration for each session is limited. Please note, sessions are limited to 8 participants and so spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

This event is part of the Communicating Research Programme of training, workshops and presentations supporting the MVLS Impact in 60 Seconds Competition 2018.

University of Glasgow staff and students only.
