Event description

Description

The Digital Sport London monthly networking events are back after a gap of a couple of years! With a new home ay the London Sporting Club in Mayfair, we're delighted to be back with a great mix of networking and insightful industry talks.

In this event we'll be splitting the evening up between networking (always plenty of time for catching up is needed) and a couple of 'learning' session. This month we'll be having a panel session and a 'live' podcast recording one for the Digital Sport Insider series.

The ticket cost not only includes the below great sessions + opportunities to network some of the best in the industry. But you'll also get some snacks and drinks to ensure you're fed and watered. The drinks will be limited and then it will become a paid bar.

PANEL: THE FUTURE OF (DIGITAL) SPORTS BROADCASTING

Sport as we know is going througha time of massive change as the way people spend their leisure time is changing due to the ever changing technological advances we see. There are many, many articles on how subscription TV is in decline, how people don't watch normal TV anymore, how sport is losing touch with the millenial audience, etc. That's not even mentioning how new tech companies are coming in to the market with Twitter and Amazon, and to a lesser extent Facebook, taking sports rights. And in the UK with Sportbible, Sporf and Copa90 live streaming games this year.

How is this going to affect how we watch sport in the future? How are sports now looking at broadcast deals? What will the technology companies do next? We'll attempt to answer these questions.

The panel will be led by Joel Seymour-Hyde, SVP at Octagon and he'll be quizzing the likes of David Gibbs from SkySports. A rights holder and 'challenger' brand (TBC very very soon) will giving the panel a great mix.

PODCAST: LIVE INTERVIEW

We'll be taking the Digital Sport Insider podcast on the road, with our first 'live' outing in front of an audience. So anything could happen. Will it make it onto iTunes? Will it even record? We'll find out afterwards but if you're there then you'll here it in full and unedited. Guest TBC very soon.

If you're interested in becoming a sponsor of this event, then get in touch with daniel@digitalsport.co for more details.

Book your ticket now for what will be the first in a great series of evening and morning events. The first breakfast meetup will be 25th October, also at the London Sporting Club.
