Event description
Could you do more to support people with their digital skills and use of the internet? Then why not come along to this FREE workshop.

About this Event

Despite the huge growth in smartphones, people who experience homelessness (particularly those who sleep rough and/or have multiple needs) are often socially and digitally excluded, and face numerous barriers to getting online. Supporting and nurturing digital skills can be life-changing.

If you work in a support role in a homelessness setting or manage a service that does then come along to these workshops to explore:

- Why supporting digital skills is so important to the well-being of clients

- Different ways of supporting clients to improve their digital skills in homelessness settings

- Learning from the Reboot UK project - a national project to help improve the digital skills of vulnerable groups, included people experiencing homelessness through digital champions and community connectors roles

- Ways to embed support in your frontline offer and improve collaboration among staff and volunteers within and across organisations

As well as networking with colleagues from the homelessness sector.

This is one of three regional half day events to mark the end of the Reboot UK Project and the launch of the Good Things Foundation's Guide 'Doing Digital in the Homelessness Sector'.
