Description

Breakfast Meeting - 08:00am to 10:30am

Digital transformation: What does it really mean for your organisation?

Digital transformation: It can mean different things to different people and different organisations. For some it’s a question of rebooting a stalled or failed project whereas for others it’s about using the myriad range of digital technologies to enter new markets or ‘leapfrog’ the competition. Whichever scenario you’re facing you will come up against a unique set of challenges.

In some cases the technologies you’re looking at are well established. For instance use of cloud computing is now becoming the norm – although effective and secure use is not. But other technologies are emerging and we need to learn how to engage with them.

Natural computer interfaces such as voice and even brain are transforming the way we interact with computers. Augmented reality is delivering more engaging training. Virtual reality is transforming sales.

Further out truly foldable screens, context aware computing driven by AI, distributed ledger systems such as blockchains, and quantum computing are set to deliver massive change across business.

The first step is to understand where you sit on the digital transformation continuum. A programme that prioritises the best opportunities for individual organisations needs to be established. Agile processes need development. Cultural changes, where experiment and failure are embraced, are essential. And ways of optimising investment through the management of IT environments that maintain still-useful legacy systems as well as importing leading edge technology need to be identified. And critical to success is the ability to select the appropriate partners with the right skill and experience to help you on this journey.

The questions we will explore

During the meeting we will focus on questions such as:

  • Where do you sit on the digital transformation spectrum?
  • How do you measure the ROI of digital transformation?
  • How do you get a stalled digital transformation initiative back on track?
  • How can you use ‘digital’ to leapfrog the competition?
  • How do you select appropriate partners to deliver your digital transformation projects?

Who is invited?

CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, Heads of Transformation and other senior technology leaders at large organisations in any industry sector.

Successful organisations will ensure that they are using digital technologies to deliver their business objectives. If learning and understanding how to do this are priorities, then this briefing is a must-attend.

Be one of 13 senior business professionals around the table at The Goring who will all bring their expertise to bear to analyse the present – and the future.

This breakfast briefing is brought to you by Business Reporter, in association with Mastek, and is only for senior technology leaders as mentioned above. Registrations of junior professionals, consultants, solution providers or other sellers to this market won’t be accepted. For any enquiries, please contact Lace on 0208 349 6458 or email lace.b@business-reporter.co.uk.
