Sunderland is a town of makers- and that includes dyes. Learn all about the history and heritage of natural dyes by making your own dye vats, eco dye and planning a projects for your materials.

A range of dye stuffs, cotton and wool will be included in your kit to create your own pigments. Everything will be included in your kit but we encourage you to take a look around you and see if there's anything in your garden, fridge or spice rack that might help make a beautiful colour.

You will produce two dye vats and an eco dyed piece of fabic as a sampler of different colours, your dyed materials can be used in a range of projects and your facilitator will help you idenfify uses during the workshop.
