Lucky an outgoing and confident undergraduate, she meets her boyfriend at university. Lucky ignored the physical and emotional abuse attributing this to her boyfriend being stressed and thinking she had done something wrong. After marriage, she hopes things will change but it escalates to extreme violence. We follow her journey of resistance and survival!

This play was created by local women from discussions of real-life incidents from members of Mohila Ongon, the community and in the media. The casts are from the local community and majority are first time performers

About the organisation: Mohila Ongon is a grass-roots organisation which represents ethnic minority and Bangladeshi women. They organise a wide range of activities, events and educational workshops.
