Pontio a Thrawsnewid y Cwricwlwm - cyflwyniad i ddylunio'r cwricwlwm

Yn dilyn diweddariadau’r cwricwlwm yn ystod tymor yr hydref, yr adborth gan ysgolion oedd mai'r hyn sydd ei angen arnynt nesaf yw cefnogaeth i feddwl am ddylunio eu cwricwlwm. Gan fod cyhoeddiad CiG wedi cyrraedd, bydd digwyddiadau’r gwanwyn yn canolbwyntio ar ‘ystyriaethau allweddol’ ar gyfer goblygiadau dylunio. Fe'ch cyflwynir i adnodd ar-lein ERW 'Trawsnewid Eich Cwricwlwm', offeryn awdit, cynllunio a chefnogaeth sy'n unol ag ymrwymiad y rhanbarth i weithio ar draws y rhanbarth a'r gwaith ar 'ddisgwyliadau eang' cenedlaethol. Trwy weithdai rhyngweithiol bydd ysgolion yn dechrau archwilio'r adnodd hwn, gan feddwl am natur gyfannol y fframwaith newydd. Bydd 'Trawsnewid eich Cwricwlwm' yn gweddu i bob lefel o fynediad i gynllunio ar gyfer diwygio, gan gynorthwyo ysgolion i greu eu hamserlenni eu hunain ar gyfer datblygu’r cwricwlwm, nodi meysydd i'w datblygu a'r rheini y maent yn teimlo y gallant eu rhannu ag ysgolion eraill yn ôl model ysgolion fel sefydliadau sy’n dysgu. Bydd y platfform yn esblygu dros amser i edrych yn ddyfnach i ddeall y negeseuon allweddol sy'n gysylltiedig â

• Fframwaith statudol i gefnogi dylunio’r cwricwlwm yn yr ysgol gydag arweiniad yn nodi'r ystyriaethau allweddol ar gyfer dylunio a'r disgwyliadau eang i ddysgwyr

• Natur gyfannol a chydweithredol y fframwaith a phwysigrwydd y pedwar diben

• Cwricwlwm sy'n canolbwyntio ar y dysgwr, sy'n ceisio ehangu dysgu, cefnogi lleoliadau ac ysgolion i fod yn hyblyg a rhoi cefnogaeth i arweinwyr ac ymarferwyr, drwy eu galluogi i fod yn fwy creadigol ac arloesol

Er mwyn hwyluso hyn, bydd ERW yn darparu £ 150 i bob ysgol fel cyfraniad tuag at gostau. Byddwch yn gallu hawlio cyllid yn y digwyddiad.

Curriculum Transition and Transformation - an introduction to curriculum design

Following the autumn term curriculum updates, schools indicated that what they need next is support in thinking about designing their curriculum. As the publication of CfW is upon us, the spring events will focus on ‘key considerations’ for design implications. You will be introduced to ERWs online resource 'Transforming Your Curriculum', an audit, planning and support tool aligned to the region's commitment to cross-regional working and the national 'broad expectations' work. Through interactive workshops schools will begin to explore this resource, thinking about the holistic nature of the new framework. 'Transforming your Curriculum' will suit all levels of entry into planning for reform, aiding schools to set their own timescales for development, identifying areas for support and those they feel they can share with others in the schools as learning organisations model. The platform will evolve over time to take a deeper route into understanding the key messages related to

• Professional development

• Statutory framework to support school-based curriculum design with guidance setting out the key considerations for design and the broad expectations for learners

• The holistic and collaborative nature of the framework and the importance of the four purposes

• A learner-focussed curriculum, seeking to allow for a broadening of learning, supporting settings and schools to be flexible in approach and providing leaders and practitioners with greater agency, enabling them to be more creative and innovative

• The ‘essence’ of learning

• Understanding what progression looks like

• Principles, purposes and methodologies

• Making meaningful connections with prior learning and with personal experiences

• Changes to the focus of assessment

• Links to other reform agendas

• Greater emphasis on self-evaluation

• The importance of wellbeing

In order to facilitate this, ERW will be providing each school with £150 as a contribution towards costs. You will be able to claim funding at the event.
