Event description
Explore how researchers at University of Dundee, and their partners, are working to tackle some of the most pressing global challenges.

About this Event

The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic of 2020 has brought into sharp focus the global and complex nature of many challenges facing humanity, the impact of which is most often felt by the poorest and most vulnerable.

This event showcases how researchers at University of Dundee, and their partners, are working to tackle some of the most pressing development challenges around the world.

It will provide the opportunity to hear from colleagues supported by the UK Govt-funded, Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF), learn more about the evolving development research funding landscape and discover opportunities to contribute.

Who should attend?

This event is for anyone with an interest in research for development. We are keen to engage not only those with longstanding research partnerships in low and middle income countries (LMICs) but also those less experienced, who are perhaps considering pursuing a career this space.

Agenda

• 11:00 – Welcome & Introduction

• 11:05 – Overview of research landscape and the UoD GCRF programme

• 11:25 – UoD GCRF award holder presentations

• 12:15 – Q&A

• 12:30 – Close
