'Dimension in a Day' Content

This comprehensive and exciting day will be a variety of lectures, taught sessions and workshop demonstrations for you to have education and some hands-on practice in carrying out vascular assessments. Clinical elements include;

  • Pulse palpation
  • Using handheld Doppler
  • Performing an Ankle-Brachial Pressure Index (ABPI)
  • Symptom assessment: claudication & rest pain
  • Clinical decision-making: Peripheral Arterial Disease, Critical Limb Ischaemia & differential diagnosis

The curriculum is designed around 'Dimenison 14-Peripheral Arterial Disease' and delivered by recognised clinical experts; Mr Martin Fox- Vascular Podiatrist, Greater Manchester, Dr Paul Chadwick- Consultant Podiatrist, Salford and Dr Joanne McCardle- Research Podiatrist, Edinburgh

Why should you come?

Podiatrists and other health professionals learn core skills in lower limb vascular assessment as an undergraduate but for a number of reasons, these skills are not utilised in the health care settings. This comprehensive educational day will provide you with underpinning educational elements for lower limb vascular assessment and equip you with some real clinical tools for you to take back into your own practice

We welcome anyone that is interested in learning or refreshing their knowledge and skills in lower limb vascular assessment; NHS/private podiatrists, GPs and nurses

The course curriculum/content has been approved and endorsed by the 'College of Podiatry', 'Foot in Diabetes UK' and 'TRIEPodD-UK'
