Get ready for a RAWR-some time at DinoCon! This event is happening on Saturday 16th Aug 2025 - Sunday 17th August 2025 at the University of Exeter.
Come and meet fellow dinosaur lovers, learn from palaeotology experts, and maybe even unearth some dino-themed goodies in our vendor hall. Whether you're a dino enthusiast or just curious, there's something for everyone at DinoCon!
Dino may be in our name, but we delve into all aspects of palaeontology, not just dinosaurs!

The Saturday Evening Quiz & Art Exhibition is for over 16s only. Attendees aged 16 & 17 must be accompanied by an adult (aged 18+) with a valid ticket during the evening event.

All children (aged 0-15) must be accompanied by an adult (aged 18+) with a valid ticket at all times.
Personal Care Attendants: If you need to bring a personal care attendant to assist you during the event, they can attend free of charge. Please email us (info@dinocon.co.uk) with your ticket number and name if you require a carer’s ticket. Only one free carer ticket can be issued per ticket holder who needs assistance. If additional carer tickets are required, this will considered on a case-by-case basis. Please note; our ticketing system does not allow the sale of children's tickets without an adult ticket. Please contact us if you are needing to book a ticket for a child (under 16 years old) who requires a personal care attendant.
Frequently asked questions
There are a number of pay and display car parks at the University of Exeter. The main car park for DinoCon will be ‘Car Park D’ situated on Rennes Drive. There is a separate car park for Blue Badge holders closer to the venue at ‘Car Park C’ situated on North Park Road.
There is a regular public bus service that connects Exeter city centre, Exeter St. David's train station, and Exeter Airport to the University (Buses no. 4 & 4a). Exeter St. David's train station is also within walking distance of the University.
Yes, there will be a designated room available for changing in/out of costumes.
There will be something for everyone. Our main talks and panels will be catered towards the general public, but we will also have scientific lectures running at the same time. Attendees are free to sit in on any talk that sparks their interest.
Yes, there will be some activities for children of all ages, however the talks will be catered towards adults and young adults.
There is some accommodation available to book at the University of Exeter called "Holland Hall". Please see our website for details on how to book. Otherwise, Exeter City has a wide variety of hotels, B&Bs and Airbnbs available.
The venue has a restaurant on site (the RAM Bar) that will be open at all times during the event. There is also a Starbucks available and a smaller café in the Peter Chalk building.
Yes, there will be an opportunity to check-in and collect your welcome pack on the evening of Friday 15th August. More details about this will be available closer to the event.
Only guide and assistance animals are allowed at this event.
Yes, you can choose to attend for just the Saturday or Sunday. Please note though that whilst some activities will be the same for both days (art workshops, the vendor hall, etc), the talks will be different each day and there is an evening event on the Saturday only.
Alcohol will be available to purchase from the "Ram Bar" during the evening event. For safeguarding purposes, we cannot allow children to be on site at this time. The Quiz (and the inevitable banter during it) will also not be suitable for children.
