Formerly known as the Laura Jurd Quartet, a new band awakens from the jaws of extinction. Formed in 2010 Dinosaur have performed extensively in the UK and beyond having recently appeared at the Berlin Jazz Festival, Jazz Sur Son 31 in Toulouse and 12 Points Festival 2015. Led by multi-award-winning, BBC New Generation Artist trumpeter and composer Laura Jurd, the band plays music influenced by a wealth of musical traditions including folk, minimalism and rock music. These four powerhouse musicians of their generation never fail to create seismic shifts with the perfect blend of groove, melody and abandon.

Alarmist produce a densely packed colourful soundworld of analogue synths, electro-acoustic percussion, processed voices, guitars and winds.
Following on from 2013’s widely acclaimed Pal Magnet EP, Alarmist released their debut album Popular Demain in late 2015. Their genre-blending fusion of the melodic and the experimental has caught the ears of listeners of post-rock, jazz and electronica alike, gaining an growing international following, shown by their consistent presence in Bandcamp’s top 50 experimental rock, math-rock and Staff Picks lists worldwide.
