Description

A message from the Bishop of Chichester

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ

Welcome to the registration for our 2018 clergy conference, to which I am inviting all of the licensed clergy in the diocese.

The aim of the conference, is to provide refreshment and inspiration for our hard-working and dedicated licensed clergy.

The main focus for the conference will be a series of lectures, by three leading academics in various different fields of Theology: Dr Ian Paul, Professor Karen Kilby and Professor Ben Quash. They will concentrate on the central theme of the conference – vocation – and look at how God’s call is understood in the Bible, the Christian tradition and in Christian art and culture.

My hope is that the programme of lectures and seminars, as well as the more informal discussions that we will have during the conference, will stimulate and encourage each of us in our ministries, and help us to encourage others to respond to God’s call.

The conference will also enable us to get to know each other, and to learn from each other in ways that are not always possible in our large and geographically spread-out diocese.

Thank you for taking the time to register on this site. If you are unable to attend all or part of the conference, for any reason, I would be grateful if you could write to me separately.

With good wishes

+Martin
