This Diploma in employment law is aimed a Union representatives who have completed either the certificate courses and/or their own union reps courses. We recommend that you will have some experience in representing members at work.
On the course you will learn:
· How employment law is created and comes on the statute books
· Review current workers rights
· Develop a deeper understanding of collective and trade union rights
· You will be expected to complete essays, end of course project and presentation.
You will be expected to complete essays, end of course project and presentation. We recommend that you arrange to have a buddy from your union to support you through the course. The tutor will ask who your buddy will be at the start of the course.
We will run this course mainly as a classroom based course but also include online live lessons on some of the evenings.
The course is split over 36 weeks. The times are 6.00pm-9.00pm every Tuesday (excluding school holidays)

Also, please be aware that only UK based residents, who have confirmed that they are a union representative from an affiliated Trades Union Congress (TUC) trade union can apply to attend these courses.
