DiPSU Proudly Presents - Choice Unlimited
Friday, 18 October 2013 from 10:00 to 17:00 (BST)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Following the success of two Choice Unlimited events in Leicester...........
DiPSU are proud to invite Choice Unlimited to Nottingham and Nottinghamshire to
host the largest ever public event to be held in the County, showcasing information, services, ideas and products for
disabled people and older people.
The event will be FREE for visitors to attend. As well as disabled people and older people, we would like to invite their friends, family, carers and public and private sector staff to visit this exhibition.
The event will be packed to the brim with a wide range of opportunities to promote independent living, choice and control that people might not be aware of. It will enable visitors to make positive choices about their lives, well-being and independence.
It makes good business sense to recognise that disabled people are influential customers with an annual purchasing power of £80 Billion. DiPSU currently returns about £200,000 a year of disabled people’s budgets because there is not enough for them to spend it on. Could your business use any of this money? Can it afford to miss out?
There will be a huge range of exhibitors under one roof who will be covering health and well-being, lifestyle and leisure, personal support, transport, services for carers, work and volunteering, education and training, support and advice, accommodation, repair and maintenance, domestic support and general support and advice.
There will even be some fun activities especially for the young and young at heart.
When & Where
Leicestershire Centre for Integrated Living is a disabled people's user led organisation. LCiL aim to do this by promoting the benefits of disabled people, providing or encouraging the provision of services that facilitate independence for disabled people in daily living activities and in active participation and full integration into society. LCiL operate within the framework of the social model of disability in which disability is a problem of exclusion from ordinary life, rather than a medical impairment.
LCiL Events are a team who provide the management of Exhibitions and Conferences specialising in Disability and Equality. We have a comprehensive understanding of accessibility and will ensure your event promotes best practice throughout.
