Event description

Description

Identifying difficulties with mental health in your workforce can be tricky - not everyone displays symptoms in the same way, and often the stigma attached to difficulties can prevent an open, helpful discussion.

Problems with mental health affect your staff's individual wellbeing, the productivity of their team, and thus your financial bottom line, proving a business case for a more proactive approach. But how do you, as an employer, positively influence your employees wellbeing and make your business more efficient and profitable?

Our interactive workshop will cover:

  • The business case for investing in workplace wellbeing
  • Identifying problems in employee mental health
  • Breaking down the barriers - de-stigmatising mental health in your business culture
  • What is your duty of care as an employer?
  • Best practice processes associated with long-term sick, returning to work, and capability assessments
  • What HR policies do you need in place to protect your business and support your staff?

With speakers from the Mental Health Institute's Workplace Mental Health team, and HR, Employment Law and Health and Safety experts, Avensure.
