Event Details

We are proud to host an event focusing on Disability as an Asset. It is essential that we change our culture and make reasonable adjustments so that staff feels they are able to deliver their roles and responsibilities whilst feeling valued and supported.

The day will consist of some keynote speakers and workshops:

  • Preparing for WDES: Workforce Disability Equality Standard
  • Tackling stigma around disability
  • Access to work
  • A taste of disabled living

Lunch will be provided and we will have a marketplace for stallholders and an opportunity for networking.

We will also have an Executive board member chairing the event which has been organised with our Disabled Staff Network.

Our Disabled Staff Network aims for delegates to achieve some key learning objectives.

The key objectives are:

  • To increase staff understanding as to why reasonable adjustments are given
  • To learn about operation of access to work
  • To increase understanding of disability by staff
  • Raise awareness of the Disabled Staff Network
