Event description

Description

You are invited to the Unite South West Region Disability History Month Seminar being held at our Regional Office in Bristol on 30 November 2017.

We are delighted that Marsha De Cordova, Member of Parliament for Battersea and Shadow Minister for Disabilities, is our keynote speaker and she will talk about her experience of becoming involved in politics and elected as an MP as a person with a disability.

Other speakers include Paula Peters from Disabled People Against the Cuts and Tom Hoare, Director, Bristol, MIND

The event will be of interest to all Unite activists and disabled members who are interested in campaigning against the systematic disadvantage faced by disabled people in the UK and promoting equality for disabled people both at work and the wider community.
