Disability Living Allowance Workshop - for Parent Carers in Wales

This online workshop is for parent carers of children aged 0-16years with additional needs or disabilities (with or without a diagnosis) who live in Wales.

This session will help you to understand whether your child may be eligible for DLA, will dispel common myths around DLA and the barriers to making a claim.

It will cover:

• Eligibility criteria
• Care Component and mobility component of DLA
• Rates of DLA
• Top tips on filling out the claim form
• Severe Mental Impairment Rules
• The appeals process.

This workshop will be held online on Zoom. It will not be recorded. You are welcome to keep your camera/audio off during the workshop if you would feel more comfortable doing so.

A PDF copy of the workshop slides and useful resources will be emailed to all attendees after the workshop.
