'Disability Welfare in North Korea and UK' Seminar: University of Oxford
Event Information
Description
DULA International hosts the second seminar in Oxford. The ultimate aim of the seminar is to improve the life of disabled North Koreans, firstly by raising awareness of their status, but also to raise awareness and understanding of disability itself because only when global awareness is achieved, the help and cooperation finally reach the less developed and privileged countries. Although UK is one of the most economically and socially developed countries, disability welfare needs to be improved. Therefore, the engagement hopes to enrich knowledge and practices in both countries.
This rare opportunity welcomes those with interest in the DPRK and disability, and requests discretion and non-political contributions. The event is open to all, including students, academic staff and those with keen interest in the presented topics.
Speakers
Mun-Chol Kim: Chairman of the Korean Federation for the Protection of the Disabled
