Event description
Free Smartphone Video workshop to get started on doing videos with your phone.

About this Event

Smartphone Video workshop led by Richard Hering. Richard is a broadcast documentary film maker. He trains a wide range of clients in video production, and is currently completing a book on smartphone video journalism: The Smartphone Video Activist.

Richard will be joined by Eleanor Lisney who will be co designing the workshop for disabled people. Eleanor has been campaigning with using smartphone as a wheelchair user for many years and has been on several video courses. Together they will be looking at possible accessibility issues with participants.

Richard will be showing you basic techniques with Eleanor to explore accessibility. Smartphones are light and therefore suitable for manoeuvring for many disabled people. In the workshop you will make your own short video - if you wish, we will publish them later on social media.

Please bring your own smartphone.

This workshop is part of the Disabled & Proud Festival.

Access details are linked here. Please write to eleanor @ cultureaccess.co.uk for access needs. The venue is wheelchair accessible. We are getting a BSL interpreter and there will be a floating PA. There is a 'chill' room for people who need a break.
