Disabled Students' Forum
Event Information
About this Event
We would like to hear about the support you have had or would like to have from the University for those who have a Disability, Mental Health Condition or a Specific Learning Difference.
The session will be hosted by Katya MacMillen and Niamh McCrossan, the Student Association's Disabled Students' Officer and Vice President Welfare.
--
To begin the session, there will be a short presentation from them about the opportunities and support available to disabled students through the Students' Association.
There will then be a brief information sharing session during which we'll hear about:
- The Accessible Learning Policy Review
- Assessments and alternative assessment provision over the past academic year
- Accessibility and inclusion work that the Student Disability Service, Sports Union and Students' Association do, you will be asked to feedback on your on campus and online student experience
Participants will then have time to discuss each of these areas in small groups facilitated by members of the Students' Association and offer any comments and suggestions as to areas of good work or things they would like to see improved.
Students who have booked and attended will receive a £10 book voucher at the end of the session as a thank you for their time and contributions.
--
This session will be hosted on Zoom and Zoom details will be distributed to attendees the day of the forum.
