Come and try disc golf at the open day.
Disc golf is a fun and friendly activity which can be enjoyed by players of all ages. The game is all about throwing a disc (a lot like a frisbee) from the tee pad and getting it into a basket.
If you've never played before or maybe played a little and want to know more, this event would be perfect for you.
Learn how to hold and throw a disc in different situations. Once you've learned the basics, you'll be able to enjoy a round of the course with friends and family.
If you want to take it further then there are casual rounds, leagues and competitions you can get involved with.
Where is Disc Golf Played?
Disc golf can be played in a variety of locations, however courses can most often be found in parks and wooded areas. Unlike ball golf, with open fairways and an ocassional bunker, disc golf often requires you to play around trees and other hazards. This makes the game really interesting and sometimes challenging.
Glasgow has two free-to-play courses - the one at Rosshall Park and one in Springburn Park.
Being outdoors it great and disc golf can be enjoyed in all weather conditions. Well okay, it's not quite so much fun in the rain, and high winds can be frustrating.
