Join Midlothian Community Action on Wednesday 21 May, 10am for our FREE 'Disclosure Scotland PVG's – Regulated Roles' session.

With recent changes to the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020, PVG’s are mandatory for all staff, board/trustees and volunteers in Regulated Roles…but what is a regulated role?


The session will cover:

· What is a regulated role

· What is the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020 and how it affects you

· A Q&A with the Compliance and Training Officer from Volunteer Scotland Disclosure Services


Where will the session take place?

This session will be held in-person at St John & King’s Park Church, Dalkeith (opposite Morrisons), please email volunteer@mca.scot if you have any questions or access requirements.

Midlothian Community Action run regular events and a new training programme twice a year, usually in Autumn and Spring.

MCA training & events are open to:

  • Staff, volunteers and directors of community groups, third sector organisations and social enterprises that benefit people living in Midlothian.
  • Anyone starting up or thinking about starting up a new community project or social enterprise that will benefit Midlothian residents.
  • Community councillors and other Midlothian-based community activists
  • Staff from key public sector partner agencies (Midlothian Council, NHS Lothian, etc).
  • Priority will always be given to people working in Midlothian, but where space allows we will offer limited slots to third sector colleagues from other areas of Scotland.
