Description

Join The Egham Museum and the National Trust for a FREE afternoon of activites for all the family!

Ankerwycke, the site of an ancient 2,500 year old yew tree, where it is believed King Henry VIII courted Anne Boleyn, also boasts the remains of a Benedectine Priory and a wonderful array of wildlife.

We invite you to explore this historic site, whilst being entertained by a host of fun educational activities including;

*Arts and crafts, including the opportunity to make a unique ornament to hang on our tree*

*Qualified Story-Teller*

*Archaeological Digs in sandpits representing iconic periods in history*

FAQs

What is access like at the event?

Ankerwycke is a gentle grassy terrain with no pathways but with an occassional gate or fence to climb over. You will be walking through the fields and amongst trees, so please dress appropriately.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Please meet The Egham Museum/National Trust team at the Ankerwycke Car Park; TW19 5AD.
