Discover Creative Writing: Absolute Beginners
Join us for this fun and friendly course to help you start writing with confidence. Discover the joy of creative writing in a relaxed and supportive space. This course is perfect for complete beginners who want to build confidence and explore writing as a way to express thoughts, feelings and ideas.
Each week, we'll try out a different theme like nature, characters, or hobbies, to help you spark your imagination and get the words flowing.
Whether you write just for yourself, or feel ready to share with others, this course is all about enjoying the process, relieving stress and seeing the world in fresh ways.
No experience needed, just bring a pen and paper!
Venue
This course takes place at the Parish Room at St David's Church, off Queen's Terrace. Look out for our bright pink banner to help you find us!
Times and Attendance
Class takes place Thursdays from 6 November 2025
We start at1pm and finish at 3pm. There will be a short break with free tea and coffee.
Commitment: we ask that learners try to commit to the full 5-week course to enable everyone to get the most from the sessions.
Courses are popular and we run a waiting list on our Eventbrite courses, please cancel your place on Eventbrite or advise us if you are no longer able to attend the course so we can offer your place to somebody else.
