Geology teaches us about life in the past and how it changed in step with an evolving Earth. Come and learn how to read the rocks and gain an appreciation of Scotland’s amazing 3.8 billion year geological back story.
Fiona McGibbon is an Open University Associate Lecturer in Earth Sciences. She is an experienced field and classroom teacher. An expert in petrology, she provides specialist services to archaeologists and works with local artists too.
We will be based in the Education Centre and will include activities in the zoo.
This short course is run in partnership with the Field Studies Council.
