The woodlands are full of wonderful plants and animals, that can tell us lots about the local environment. Help scientists discover more about K-Woodlands by taking part in these survey training days. We will be training to carry out citizen science surveys which help researchers monitor the health of the natural world around the whole of the UK.
Discover what lives below the surface of the woodland ponds to find out how healthy the water is for wildlife. By testing the water in various ways and closely examining what lives in the pond we can tell how healthy the system is. A short walk to a nearby pond will be followed by some testing of the water and pond dipping. www.opalexplorenature.org/watersurvey
