Overview

As Northern Ireland navigates the energy transition, co-operatives offer democratic, locally rooted solutions to climate, cost, and control.

Join us for an inspiring webinar exploring how co-operative models are reshaping the energy landscape. From community-owned renewables to retrofit initiatives and energy justice campaigns, we will hear from practitioners, researchers, and activists working to build a fairer, greener future.

Our guest speakers on the night are:

Pat Austin form National Energy Action NI to set the energy policy context in the region, in particular in relation to Fuel Poverty in NI with an intervention of Nichola McDougall, part of the NEA team, who brings insights on 'behaviour change' on energy matters.

Johnatan Atkinson from Carbon Co-op and People Powered Retrofit Co-op, talking about their co-op approach to retrofitting in Manchester.

This will be followed by Q&A session.
