About this event
🌳 Discover Nature Award – Community Tree Planting Day
"Find your place"
Reconnect with nature. Build skills. Join a movement for change in Scotland.
Connection to nature is in our DNA, but sometimes we need a little help to restore it. The Discover Nature Award Community Tree Planting Day is a free event for 18–28 year olds who have completed the award. Designed by Borders Forest Trust, it’s a chance to reconnect: with the land, with others, and with yourself.
Whether you’re already passionate or just starting out, this day is for anyone whos passed the Discover Nature Award and is curious about the world around them and their role in it. It’s also a chance to be part of something new: a growing community of young people finding their voice and building a fairer, greener future.
🔥 Why Take Part?
Scotland’s forests, peatlands, and wild habitats are in crisis and young adults are too often left out of the work to protect and restore them. The Discover Nature Award gives you the space, skills, and support to do something about it.
Created by Borders Forest Trust, who have been rewilding Southern Scotland since 1996, this programme invites you to explore the climate and nature crises and gain the tools to take action, locally and nationally.
