Are you curious about research? Do you want to learn more about how mental health research takes place, and how you can get involved?

The South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust’s Research and Development team invite you to join our ‘Discover Research’ events.

This is a chance to explore mental health research together – to talk about what it is, hear your thoughts, questions and concerns, and share how it can make a difference.

The events will be facilitated by mental health research professionals and people with lived experience of mental ill health. They will include activities, games and refreshments .We want to help demystify research, and encourage conversations around:

  • What is research and how does it work?
  • What are the barriers to participation in research?
  • What would help people get more involved in research?

Programme:

12:00 – 12:30 – Introductions, refreshments and talk from a research participant or researcher

12:30 – 12:45 – Lunch

12:45 – 13:45 – Table-top activities, games and conversations

14:00 – Event ends
