Description

On the anniversary of the infamous 'Battle of Bexley Square' (1st October 1931) learn about the struggles the people of Salford faced at that time and the consequences of their protests.

There is so much else to talk about on this street... incuding Vimto, Friedrich Engels, LS Lowry, Salford Cathedral, St Philips Church, the country's first public park and the fabulous Working Class Movement Library.

The tour finishes at Salford Museum and Art Gallery which is well worth a visit.
