Description

Salford Guided Walk for visitors, students and locals. Join a Green Badge Tour Guide for a tour about history heroes buildings war and Vimto

This tour starts at Salford Central station and extends to Salford Crescent station. Salford was a Borough town when Manchester was a mere village and it was the cradle of the Industrial Revolution which changed this country and the world.

Join me for a fun factual tour of Salford. Along the way we learn of markets, sport, workhouses and the oldest public baths in the Country. We cross the busy Trinity way to explore the tranquil squares and walkways and see contrasting spires, old and new dwellings and learn about the Salford blitz and war bunkers. We meet royalty and the Coal MP. All in all from the oldest church in Salford to a nuclear bunker and Vimto Gardens we learn the history of this fascinating part so close to Manchester

This tour will be approximately 1.5miles and will take 1.5-2 hours
